v1.2.1 - New LCDd with gpio connection support
Only the bundle changed, nothing in Slimmer. The bundle now contains libugpio and the most recent LCDd with HD44780 gpio connection type. You shoud change your LCDd.conf to use this method, as the old raspberrypi connection type is deprecated (and not working for example on a Zero-W).
See the wiki how to install it on piCorePlayer.
v1.2 - New features and the latest LCDd in the bundle
The changes:
- 2 line screens are supported. First line is the same as with 4 line displays, but if there is not enough room, the duration is omitted. The second line is Artist: Album - Title and Artist: Title [Remote title/Radio name] for remote streams (radio). Volume, menu and error screens are also adapting to the screen size automatically.
- Scrolling speed command line parameter added. Value 1 is the fastest.
- On previous action the current track is restarted if it is played for more than 3 secs (instead of starting previous track).
- If the playing queue is empty a popup is shown in the menu when trying to enter the Playing Queue or when the last item is deleted from the queue.
- Key repeats handled for left and right keys (volume setting and menu browsing). This makes using a LIRC remote or physical buttons (instead of a rotary encoder) smooth.
- Artists menu item name is changed to All Artists if server version is at least 7.9.0
- Added browsing by Album Artists (if the server supports it)
- Artists were not shown up in the menu with LMS 7.9
See the wiki how to install it on piCorePlayer.
Small bugfixes & bundle supports Pi1, Pi2 and Pi3 too
This release fixes a bug connected to the Tidal LMS plugin and some other minor ones.
The attached bundle now supports also Raspberry Pi 2 and 3.
See the wiki how to install it on piCorePlayer.
