What is it ========== Quanda is a community-driven question and answer framework. It is open source and written as a django reusable application. Install ======= * Add the quanda directory to your python site-packages * Add quanda to your installed apps INSTALLED_APPS = ( ... 'quanda', ... ) * Quanda assumes the following contrib apps are enabled: - admin - auth - contenttypes - session - sitemaps - sites (only needed to get your site's name for rss and seo) * Include the url file to your urls: urlpatterns = pattern('', ... (r'^quanda/', include('quanda.urls'), ... ) * sync the db: $ python manage.py syncdb * run the install view Once you have quanda up and running, go to /install to run the install process (this has to be done as a staff user) * note: for the default templates that you'll no doubt override, quanda assumes that your login as at /accounts/login, your registration at /accounts/register/ and your logout as /accounts/logout. * Quanda uses TinyMCE_ in the ask question and answer question textareas. If quanda doesn't find it, it will use the js file from teebes.com instead _ http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/ Configuration ============= # the rewards given per question or answer voted on QUESTION_VOTED_UP (default 10) QUESTION_VOTED_DOWN (default 5) ANSWER_VOTED_UP (default 10) ANSWER_VOTED_DOWN (default 5) # the requirements to vote on questions & answers, as well as leave comments VOTE_QUESTION_UP_REP (default 0) VOTE_QUESTION_DOWN_REP (default 0) VOTE_ANSWER_UP_REP (default 0) VOTE_ANSWER_DOWN_REP (default 0) LEAVE_COMMENT (default 0) # the location of the tiny_mce.js file TINY_MCE_JS_LOCATION (default 'http://teebes.com/static/js/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js')
