Housekeeping update
- Reorganized folders/files to conform with MIE chapter
- Added solder paste files
- Updated BOM which contained several discontinued parts
- Fuses.txt: "CKOUT" -> "Enable CKOUT"
- 3D printed parts:
- Reverted most files to the publication version (which were "decompensated" to print accurately on printers outside the Tabor lab)
- Mounting plate file from Release v.1.1 decompensated to print correctly on outside printers (given version 0.5, not externally validated)
- Removed screw holes from LED socket aligner, the use of which is deprecated.
- Replaced "holes above wells" style lid with "frame-type" lid
Updated Circuit Board Design
- The circuit board has been updated with the following changes:
- Quartz oscillator, much more precise than our previous ceramic resonator. This makes timing calibration unnecessary.
- Switching power circuit, which reduces heating compared to our previous regulated circuit.
- A copper plane connecting all the LEDs, in order to better dissipate the heat they generate.
- A more robust power connector.
- The firmware was updated to be compatible with the new oscillator.
- A few of the 3D printed designs were updated to be compatible with the new circuit board.
- Files were reorganized.
