@jckarter here is the updated description for this proposal revised to provide more detail and as a result of discussion on the swift-evolution thread. This should be the bassis of any second review phase if required. There is a complete prototype implementation submitted as PR swiftlang/swift#8813 if there is a concern finding the time to implement it. The changes were not that great in the finish.

Thanks! The core team discussed this today, and we don't think another review is necessary. We feel like keeping the design focused on large literal text blocks and clarifying some of the vague text of the original proposal is sufficient. I recently posted this to swift-evolution-announce:

Sounds good to me. Let me know if you want me to modify the protoype accordingly or you want to go your own way with the source changes.
