This a rather large cleanup and optimization PR:

  • remove instruction fetch from CPU's bus unit (this is now a load/store unit processing only data memory accesses)
  • cleanup instruction fetch interface; there were a lot of redundancies in the bus unit's instruction fetch logic
  • optimize CPU front end logic (instruction fetch) reducing area costs
