i get these errors/messages when i click the check box and then click "subscribe". (it does seem to actual do the subscribe)

This bug has been fixed in 5d20eaf. This will go out with the next release.

This has been fixed in the latest release (v140129). You can update Subscribe to Comments Reloaded from within your WordPress Dashboard or download the latest version here:
