Added the Scopes enum. Made CacheHandler an abstract base class. Now if clients subclass this class and don't implement the required methods, they will get an error immediately upon initialization, instead of when the methods are first called. Added new endpoints.

Code looks great but I just saw v2 changes need their own PR. This is what we could do:

  • create v3 PR for things that are backward incompatible
  • merge v3 PR
  • create v2 PR for backward-compatible things
  • merge v2 PR
  • rebase v2 onto v3, so that v3 also have the new endpoints

What do you think?

Could these be in the v2 still?

Yes they can. I was going to suggest that after this PR was merged.

Since this PR goes straight into v3, v2 will never "see" these fixes. v2 features and fixes should still be merged into v2 (aka master)

Actually, these changes that you referenced were merged into master in #655
