The faith of the code produced by a researcher is sad... Most of the time, it stays on a computer without seeing the light of day. Many useful ideas get lost due to a lack of time or funding. Taking research code into production is usually not accounted for in many fields and you end up working during the weekends if you really want to do it.

I work with soil/geospatial data, satellite imagery and machine learning. I mostly use Python 🐍 but I have started to use Rust 🦀 for scientific computing with great success!

I try to contribute to the open-source and scientific community as much as possible. I do most of that open-source work in my free time. Sponsoring allows me to put more time into that.
