Copy software package to the device

1. Download the package from https://www.googledrive.com/host/0B8PUwax9miFkeVQ3WURZaW9ZcFU/packages/kobo-grive-sync/KoboRoot.tgz
2. Connect the eReader to computer using usb cable.
3. Copy downloaded package to eReader file .kobo/KoboRoot.tgz
4. Unplug device

Create Google account

If you are using Google Drive with PC, do not use the same account with the eReader! Grive only supports full synchronization of entire Google Drive. Create own account for the eReader. Link to sign up page: https://accounts.google.com/SignUp

Setup grive

1. Turn on wireless connection in the eReader (clicking sync is the easiest way).
2. Connect the eReader to computer using usb cable.
3. Copy authorization link from eReader file .grive-sync/README.txt
4. Visit the link with your browser
5. Copy authorization code to .grive-sync/auth.txt
6. Unplug device
7. Turn on wireless connection in the eReader (clicking sync is the easiest way).
8. Your files should be now synchronized. When you later connect to the Internet, your files are automatically synchronized.

After the files are synchronized the Google Drive will contain folders "koboExtStorage" and "Digital Editions". Do no put eBooks in these folders. These folders are created and used by Kobo firmware.

Troubleshooting

If there's problem with synchronization, try looking logs in file .grive-sync/last-grive-sync.txt.

If there's problem involving USB connection, try looking logs in file .grive-sync/last-usb-remove.txt.

If files are synchronized, but don't show up in your eReaders library, then check that eBooks are not in folder "koboExtStorage" or "Digital Editions".
