Releases: slowphil/SVG_and_TeXmacs_for_LibreOffice
Support LO Math equations and nonstandard TeXmacs location
In this release LO Math equations can now be converted to TeXmacs equations (in addition to the already supported Mathtype equations, Latex markup and, of course, TeXmacs equations)
Equations in writer now automatically adopt the surrounding font size at creation or re-edition time.
The extension can now work with TeXmacs installed in non-standard location. When the extension does not find your TeXmacs executable in the OS Path, it will ask you to point to your TeXmacs executable (portable Apps, AppImage,...), and will memorize its path.
Fix release for LO 7.4
Fix for bug #2. Update is required for the extension to work with LO 7.4.
Unfortunately, in all writer documents made with the previous version of the extension, the equations will have to be manually restored to their original size (see bug report). The bug does not affect equations created with the previous version of the extension in draw or impress documents (unless the document has writer OLE pieces with equations in...).
update for TeXmacs versions after 1.99.14
The change of the website to https (in Nov 2020) caused a change of the svg namespace, which degraded re-editing of equations. Hopefully fixed in this new version.
Fix release for LO ⩾ 6.1 and/or inkscape ⩾ 0.92
Changes were made to the handling of images in LO 6.1, which required to make a new version (0.2) of the extension (still working with older versions of LO).
In addition the new version fixes an issue when pasting some Inkscape (v. ⩾ 0.92) drawings that sometimes displayed spurious characters in the upper left corner.
first release of extension
This version of the extension was built for LibreOffice.
Open the .oxt file in LibreOffice and accept installation. After restarting LO, use the newly created toolbar to copy-paste SVG images.
The extension is usable as is for interchanging with Inkscape.
However, at the moment, the TeXmacs equation-editor feature is fully working only in the windows version I make, but publicly available Linux or MacOS versions lack a patch that enables communication between LO and TeXmacs for equation re-edition. My goal is to include an even better patch in TeXmacs' trunk in the near future. Meanwhile there is a work-around for re-editing equations that consists in going through Inkscape.
In any case, you should consider this extension as beta quality and be prepared to encounter bugs! If this occurs, I encourage you to report it here so that have a chance to fix the extension.
