With cvechecker 4.0, we now have support for the CPE v2.3 format that the CVE information is using, as well as an interpretation of the version range support that the CVE releases include. You will want to use the --reporthigher option more for this though, as many CVE informationsets no longer include each affected version.
Note that cvechecker 4.0 is not compatible with the information obtained from previous versions, so you will need to re-initialize your database.
