We're looking for brave testers to validate this tool and its approach.

Requirements

All you need is a HOMER setup alongside one of the listed platforms with a TLS socket configured and HEPjack installed and executed against the main process using libssl, ie:

nodejs hepjack.js -S my.homer.ip -P 9060 -p freeswitch

Targets

  • Sent SIP through TLS
    • Is HEPjack intercepting and sending out HEP messages?
    • Are they complete? etc

Interested?

If you feel like picking one out, post on this thread and we'll assist you installing and testing HEPjack.

The following platforms are subject of our research.

  • FreeSwitch tested by @gmaruzz
  • Asterisk
  • OpenSIPS
  • Kamailio @khorsmann
  • Any other TLS capable Proxy/B2BUA

WARNING

Do not test this on a production system just yet! Use at your own risk!

@lmangani can I test this against an Homer 5.5 docker setup? I could test Kamailio 5.2.2 with TLS websocket and TLS SIP Port

@khorsmann absolutely, IF it works it'll just send out regular HEP3

NOTE: You can enable debug mode in the script to see what's flowing through in case of radio silence. We're dropping anything non-SIP by default in this first phase. Thanks a bunch!
