improve visibility of Start and Stop buttons

Currently

Start and Stop buttons are easy to miss.

Expected

Using buttons with no opacity and good contrast of text and background will help to easily spot those essential buttons and make simra more usable for new users.

It would make sense to not show two buttons but instead use one interactive button that changes from Start to Stop depending on state.

The interactive button alteady exists
It works like the recording/stop button for videos

With the introduction of OBS the buttons were made transparent intentionally

Not sure what I am missing but in my screenshot the red button is not present. Also despite the red button, also it may exist, that does not resolve the visibility issue with the Start Stop buttons at the bottom.

The red button is displayed at the user‘s location of location services are enabled. If not you cannot use Simra anyhow

Hmm, if that is the case, should the Start button be active at all when there is no GPS signal?
Not sure how OBS plays into the use case here UI wise.

Visibility of NavigationBar and ToolBar improved by not overlaying it with map.

In addition app does not adapt to dark/light mode sections of iOS

Start button is only available when Location services are available and enabled for the app.

Sorry only now understood how the recording button works and it works as intended.
Your proposed changes are nonetheless an improvement. The overlay banner could have some opacity. This is what Organic Maps does to solve this problem:
