  1. Check if script is run as root 

    * The script attempts to modify root-owned files, and it currently
  assumes user is already logged in as root. As it stands, unprivileged
  users will be faced with 'Permission denied' errors upon touching
  files in the /usr/share/ directory. This commit ensures the script
  will only run with root/sudo privileges
