Summary
About DB Initialization
Previously, a custom docker image was used to load a
.sh
script to the MongoDB docker entrypoint. This would create a MongoDB user with the credentials that the server would eventually use to connect. After a short discussion we decided to make this manual, under the pretense that database initialization should be done manually as best practice.Writing this to avoid tribal knowledge, for any future maintainer feel free to contact me about any db connection-related issues :)
