Watch a path of an object for changes.
Install with component(1):
$ component install ripplejs/path-observer
var observe = require('path-observer');
var data = {
foo: 'bar',
bar: [1,2,3],
baz: {
foo: {
foo: 'bar'
}
}
};
// Wraps an object and returns a constructor for watching paths
var PathObserver = observe(data);
Now you can use this constructor to watch paths on the object for changes:
var path = new PathObserver('baz.foo.foo');
path.change(function(){
console.log('changed');
});
path.set('baz');
You can watch for all changes to an object:
PathObserver.on('change', function(){
// all changes
});
Changes are batched together from the previous tick.
