Can you compile Rescript from JavaScript?

I'm creating a plugin for bun that adds native support for ReScript - essentially, you simply write code in .res files, and then run like a normal JS file as opposed to compiling before (bun run src/index.res).

This works by defining a plugin function that takes in the file contents, and outputs the compiled JS. How can I compile Rescript within JavaScript itself, or is that not possible?

That's probably the best solution, though I was hoping there was a way I could use a function to get the output without using terminal.

You can call bsc directly to compile just one file. The difficulty though is that it it's quite different to normal compilation, because you need to replicate what's in rescript.json via config, and make sure any dependent ReScript files are compiled, etc. I think so at least.
