In many packages that Regolith depends on, the upstream package is referenced and patched to produce a Regolith-specific package (for example regolith-i3). In cases where possible, the Regolith packages should depend on a vanilla (or generic) package and then simply provide configuration in such a way that the files to not collide. This simplifies Regolith as it becomes more clear what is baseline logic vs Regolith-specific styling and usability changes.

Vanilla packages should be published to https://github.com/regolith-linux/speed-ricer first.
