/kind bug

What versions of software are you using?

Operating System: Macbook Pro M1

Output of odo version: ▶ odo version odo v2.5.0 (33b0ae6cf)

How did you run odo exactly?

odo deploy

On the nodejs example.

Actual behavior

k8s/devfiles/deploy master ✗ 25d1h ◒

↪ Building & Pushing Container: cdrage/deploy-odo-test

Error: error building at STEP "RUN npm install": error while running runtime: exit status 1

 ✗ Building image locally [789ms]
✗ error running podman command: exit status 1

Expected behavior

Essentially... we are trying to run / build an x86 container on ARM64 / Apple Silicon.

On Docker it works fine, on Podman, it doesn't.

There is an open issue here: containers/podman#12899

With a solution, which is:

podman machine ssh sudo rpm-ostree install qemu-user-static
podman machine ssh sudo systemctl reboot

This should be documented somewhere in the v3 docs as a solution for Podman.

Any logs, error output, etc?
