Node Red Module for SmartLife Air accepts my email but smartlife app on phone does not? #44
Comments
Something is completely wrong with accepting emails, even "normal" emails. I have followed the instructions and set up an account on the website first. When I download the app, I try to log in and it says the credentials are invalid. I try to register, it says the account already exists. I then select "forgot password" and go through the process of setting a new password. However, if I log out, the whole process is repeated. The app is not properly checking the password. In addition, the app is not allowing me to accept an invitation to join an existing SmartLife home. I have no devices in this new app. I need to be able to import all the existing devices. Has anyone gotten this to work? I am trying to use the NodeRed node, but I am stuck just trying to get the mobile app to work. Thanks for your help!! |

Thank you!! I just tried it again and now it seems to work. My issue before was only logging out/in on the SmartLife Air app. I didn't have any issues on the website. Now, I am able to log out and back in on the app without having to go through and reset my password. However, I am still not able to import my devices from the SmartLife app. In SmartLife, I send an invitation through home settings->add member. In SmartLife Air app, I go to join a home and enter the invitation code. I receive an "Invitation invalid. Please contact inviter." How do I get this to work? |
Unfortunately you won’t be able to import from SmartLife app. You will have
to reenrol. Before you shift everything and try one couple of devices and
see if inputs and outputs are showing up. Because some device manufacturers
don’t use the standard api.
Cheers

Razor? You there? |
Node Red Module for SmartLife Air accepts my email but smartlife app on phone does not? I have a complex email, that has more than one dot it the name. For example...
[email protected]
But the smartair website https://smartlife-air.web.app/ and phone app not longer accept this format, error says the email is bad formed? That is not true, it is allowed by gmail for example. So something has changed at your end? In fact, when I tried to register my existing email with multiple dots, the web site said my email address already exists. Once more, in Node Red, the smart devices are still linked to said email address, and functional, so it appears I can't login to add an additional device.
