OK, I won't notify you again about this release, but will get in touch when a new version is available. If you'd rather skip all updates until the next major or minor version, let me know by commenting @dependabot ignore this major version or @dependabot ignore this minor version. You can also ignore all major, minor, or patch releases for a dependency by adding an ignore condition with the desired update_types to your config file.

If you change your mind, just re-open this PR and I'll resolve any conflicts on it.

@liamhuber It seems the dependabot update action doesn't run automatically for this repo. Github lists it as "skipped" but I don't know why, any idea?

@pmrv, I'm not surprised that it gets skipped on our commits or the pyiron runner commits (e.g. the env updates) because these cause if: (github.actor == 'dependabot[bot]') to evaluate false, and it's possible that one of us closing and re-opening the PR does too.

What's weird to me is that even on the initial bot commit this test is being skipped. There is some force-pushing here that makes me nervous, but even over on #46 this seems to be getting skipped:

In contrast, if I look over at pyiron_workflow 211, the dependabot commit runs the dependabot action as expected (although fails for the env updates):

And then the pyiron runner commits sensibly skip this:

I still don't understand:

  • Why pyiron_workflow used to have trouble authorizing(triggering??) the runner's env updates
  • Why this module behaves differently on the dependabot commit (the CI setup looks the same to me...)

I've updated it manually for now, but it all seems very strange indeed.
