Problem

  • chip-tool does not print out Rotating ID in DNS-SD response
  • tv-casting-app does not enable Rotating ID by default. It should in order to simplify account login cluster development by TV platform device makers
  • recent refactoring broke Rotating ID and this was not detected because it had been disabled on all example apps

Proposed Solution

  • CHIP_ENABLE_ROTATING_DEVICE_ID should not wrap printout of the DNS-SD field
  • tv-casting-app should enable rotating id by default
  • ensure Rotating ID breakage is caught by CI
