Hmm, that could almost be a candrabindu if I didn't know it was a correction. I guess it's just the vowel that's changed, so you could even do <subst>k<del>o</del><add rend="floral anusvāra" place="above">āṃ</add></subst> |

The apparatus generator treats whitespace-delimited words as lemmata, but it also truncates variant readings if possible. The LaTeX export will create the same apparatus that you see in the HTML version. E.g.,

It's an anusvāra which sort of looks like one of those floral marks that seperate the cantos from another. I wonder if it could be a fancy replacement of kāṃ for ko. How will I encode this though?
