  • Contact: A contact is a representation of a user. A contact consist of a name and zero or more (linked) peers. Peers (one or many) can be added to a contact, both during contact creation and later on. Whenever a peer is added to a contact, the peer will be added to the roster, and a request to subscribe to the peer's presence will be sent. Presence subscriptions from peers in associated with contacts will be automatically accepted.
  • Peer: Peers are the representation of accounts (currently, XMPP accounts). Peers can be linked (assigned to a contact) or unlinked (not assigned to a contact). Users will be notified about their unlinked peers (unless they have chosen to ignore the given peer). See Transition Matrix
