Pocket Network's mission is to provide the world with unstoppable open-source infrastructure. We aim to empower developers with access to reliable, performant, and cost-effective data access. The POKT protocol is one of the first players in the Decentralized Physical Infrastructure (DePIN) space. It incentivizes and coordinates a decentralized network of node operators to provide open data access to anyone, while dramatically out performing and more cost effective then their centralized counterparts.
Currently, POKT nodes serve blockchain RPCs, allowing applications to reliably interact with 30+ blockchains and Layer-2 networks. With one POKT integration, developers gain low-cost, resilient access to all supported networks.
POKT has an exciting future ahead:
- Shannon Upgrade: Scheduled for Q2 2025, the Shannon upgrade will make POKT a fully permissionless stack. It introduces new innovations:

✔️ Token Logic Modules: Modular tokenomics, enabling POKT to scale into any market
✔️ Native multi-chain: Allowing $POKT services to be used on any chain
- Expanding Data Support: With the launch of Shannon, POKT will be able to extend its infrastructure beyond blockchain RPCs to support thousands of open data sources. This includes indexing services, AI inferencing, oracles, inter-chain relaying, and other types of decentralized public infrastructure.
