--Select One-- displaying in Pods linked Gravity Form field

Issue Overview

A Gravity Form radio button field on this form, under "Target indication(s) for the clinical trial(s)" - https://newtbvaccines.org/tb-vaccine-pipeline-form/ - is populating related items from a Pods taxonomy but it is displaying an item called "--Select One--" (https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zudmdgO) which is not one of the taxonomies and it won’t let me delete it from the form field (https://share.getcloudapp.com/xQuYpY4v).

Expected Behavior

--Select One-- should not be there or should go away when deleted.

Current Behavior

Whenever I delete --Select One-- it reappears immediately.

After much troubleshooting I have narrowed it down to the Pods Gravity Forms plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/pods-gravity-forms/). When that is deactivated the --Select One-- field completely disappears. I'm not sure why.

@sc0ttkclark Confirmed and can reproduce. This is specific to Radio Buttons. We're adding a 'placeholder' and shouldn't be.

I noted that it does not appear to be happening with all of the radio buttons as I have other radio buttons on the same form...

The select one text will show for radio fields when they are not required. The select one text maps to an empty value so it's the only way to allow for an empty value there.

I'm adding a filter that can optionally disable that: pods_gf_dynamic_select_show_empty_option

To use it, in Pods GF 1.4.6 you would do this: add_filter( 'pods_gf_dynamic_select_show_empty_option', '__return_false' );

Or you can filter it and check the second argument which is the Gravity Forms field object that you can specify based on ID.
