500 error when sending admin token on initial setup (email issue?)

Hi guys,

Just trying out this GA alternative but I'm running into some issue when trying to set up my self hosted version below on dokku. I am able to get it deployed but when I am trying to get my admin token I get an error 500 with below in the logs:

Anyone that could help me with this one? I don't have much expertise when it comes to email. My best guess would be there's an issue to reach my email host but I can't seem too find what I could have done wrong. The smtp host is mail.gandi.net so this is correct.

Seems like I was a little too fast.

I have dug in this deeper and found that the VPS I am using blocks the standard SMPT ports by default. I am waiting on them now to open them up and will report back here if it fixes the issue.

I can confirm I am no longer receiving this error during setup after my VPS opened the ports 25, 465, and 587.

For reference I am using Linode.
