Tomcat 7 Deprecation Notice
This is the final release of the buildpack that will contain Tomcat 7 binaries. Tomcat 7 has been end-of-life upstream since April of 2021. It is no longer receiving updates and so it is being removed from the buildpacks. If you're using Tomcat 7 you should immediately plan to upgrade & test your apps with Tomcat 8.5+. Refer to the migration guide for details.
If you need additional time with Tomcat 7, you'll want to lock your buildpack version to v5.6.1. This will prevent future buildpack updates, which means you no longer receive security or bug updates, but it will allow you to continue using Tomcat 7 until you are ready to upgrade
