Overview

Hefty Heimdall 4.0.0 is a hard fork release that introduces some new major features including,

  • Service Node Checkpointing
  • RandomXL mining algorithm
  • Service Node Relaxed Deregistration (Crediting system for good behaviour)
  • Integration with Loki Storage Server
  • And many more bug fixes and maintaining parity with Monero development

As of this release starting at hard fork 12, it will become mandatory to connect your Service Node to the ecosystem of applications that is required for your Service Node to validly participate in the network, otherwise you risk deregistration from the network. This process can be automated and managed with Loki Launcher, please see (https://github.com/loki-project/loki-launcher) for more information if you are interested or, running a Service Node.

This is a beta release and we anticipate bugs to be present during the testing period which will be from the 28th of June till the 10th of July 2019 where the mandatory upgrade period will commence unless notified otherwise.

This release requires a rescan of the Service Node List, which will cause the daemon to emit the following log line and is expected behaviour.
