Shortcuts do not work with an external keyboard on Regloith 3 beta 2 #878

Hi,

First: Thanks for this amazing projects, Regolith is so useful!

Since I'm not sure whether this is an issue on my side or on Regolith's side, I'm posting it here (and not as an issue).

I'm using Regolith 3 beta2 on Ubuntu 2023 (Xorg).

Most of the shortcuts (e.g., to move window, switch workplace) work fine.

However, some shortcuts do only work from my laptop's keyboard, but not from the external keyboard.
These shortcuts include:

Making a window fullscreen (mod+f)
Killing a window (mod+Shift+q)

I checked the keycodes of the meta keys with xev, they are the same for the laptop's keyboard and the external one.
I checked the shortcuts in regular Ubuntu, they are working fine with the external keyboard.

~~The shortcuts worked in Regolith 3 beta 1 (although, I'm not sure to remember it 100% correctly).~~

Does somebody have any idea on where to look to identify the root of the problem?
That would be awesome.
