I think now no one is actually using this; though we should probably switch a bunch of the manual implementations to use it.
A problem is that this macro cannot support generics. For example, if you have a struct struct A<F>, the Hintable implementation needs to satisfy F: Hintable<C>. But structs without generics should be fine.
