Deferred Issues

Gathering place for a list of all the things we deferred (read: forbid people to talk about) during the IE. Will be used to create a list of issues we considered, because we knew they were important, but deferred to keep the project manageable. This page will be summarized and presented during the ELFIE demonstration at the Orleans TC to help stimulate discussion and to provide context for future versions of ELFIE.

From the ER scope Section (just copy paste for here):

• To focus the work, the IE attempted to avoid issues not directly related to encoding linked data documents as would be passed from server to client via http.
• Identifier permanence / referential integrity and implementation patterns to address it.
• Arrangements around discovery of inbound and outbound links. Links are the responsibility of the data provider only.
• ELFIE will not seek to solve problems regarding network architecture for resolving links or systems design and governance for applications that store and retrieving links or concept relationships. (this includes URI and API patterns / design)

Multiple representation and "default" response.

In order to focus this IE, only environmental domain models concerning landscape interactions with the hydrologic cycle will be considered.
