ASP.NET Core instrumentation is modified to populate "http.flavor" attribute.
It is not under a feature flag, as the latest conventions put it as Recommended. https://github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-specification/blob/main/specification/trace/semantic_conventions/http.md
(The HttpClient instrumentation is putting this under an option. which i'll propose to remove in a separate issue, along with the broader issue of update all instrumentations to match most recent spec.)
Overall - there are many drifts between the instrumentations and latest semantic conventions tracked via #3373
