🐞 [BUG] App was denied access to be default SMS app #180

if you go into the app info and look at the permissions it has/wants, what does it show? |
Having the same issue there on a pixel 8 pro android 15 |
@quamok What does the link entitled "Learn how to allow access" show? A help page? |
For some reason when I click on it it doesn't work, nothing happens, no redirection whatsoever... |
That is very odd. This sounds like Google did something strange and made it
our problem.

Describe the bug
Upon opening a clean install on version 4.0.8-beta, I get the following error, which makes the app unusable: "App was denied access to be default SMS app"
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior
The app to get the necessary permissions to open properly.

It was working properly until a few days ago I had this issue #177, then proceeded to wait a few days until a fix came out, uninstalled the faulty app version and now I always have this error when installing the app and opening it.
