I think I solved the problem with the SequenceBudget factor. I changed the code to mimic what is done in
https://github.com/andre-martins/AD3/blob/master/examples/cpp/summarization/FactorCompressionBudget.hand it seems to be working now (I didn't test it thoroughly though).
