New Release: ForensicVM v1.0
We're excited to announce the release of ForensicVM v1.0! This version introduces a significant enhancement to the user experience, making it easier than ever to install and uninstall our ForensicVM plugin for Autopsy.
NSIS Setup Installer
With this release, we are introducing a Nullsoft Scriptable Install System (NSIS) setup installer. This means that you can now easily install the ForensicVM plugin with just a few clicks.
Installation
To install the plugin, download the NSIS installer from our release page, run the installer, and follow the on-screen instructions. The installer will automatically copy the necessary files to your local AppData\Roaming\Autopsy\Python_modules directory.
Uninstallation
Uninstalling the plugin is just as easy. The NSIS installer also creates an uninstaller during the installation process. You can find this in the installation directory, and by running it, you can remove all files related to the ForensicVM plugin from your system.
We believe that this will significantly improve the user experience, making the installation and uninstallation processes more intuitive and less error-prone.
