 Datacenters represent one of the key building blocks in the modern IT-based world, with an increasing importance in our everyday life. Alessandro Bruschini, Infrastructure Manager at Aruba S.p.A., will describe the main architectural challenges in building and operating a datacenter; in particular, he will focus on their **design and architecture**, providing an overview of their **hardware infrastructure** and the **power and cooling solutions**, while also giving us an insight of the **security measures** and the **operational best practices**. Aruba, one of the main players in the Italian cloud market, is the market leader for datacenter infrastructures in our country, with the Global Cloud Data Center (IT3), the largest data center campus in Italy (with a surface area of 200,000m²) on the outskirts of Milan; two Data Centers in Tuscany, Arezzo (IT1 and IT2), which, thanks to their proximity and multiple interconnections, offer maximum levels of redundancy; and the Hyper Cloud Data Center (IT4) on its final construction phases in Rome.
