NetBox version

v2.11.2

Feature type

Data model extension

Proposed functionality

Add an additional (optional) field virtual_chassis when bulk importing devices. This assumes that the virtual-chassis object is created before the bulk import.

Use case

When importing devices that are members of virtual chassis object, it is not possible to link them to VC at the point of bulk import. To do that, you need to create/edit VC object and add members separately. It would be nice if this could be done at the bulk import stage.
