Hi @freespirit8614 , firstly we apologize for the inconvinience. As a POW chain and for the safety to your property's reasons, the CKB node is now bundled in the Neuron and will be launched by default when start Neuron, so Neuron is connect to the bundled CKB node by default but not to a centralized rpc node. Thus the multi-process may stall the computer's performance. So that we can check the problem more accurately:

I have attached 2 photos and the debug zip file from my NEURON DAO WALLET information as requested.
Just so you know this wallet remains stuck now at the 053 and 054 synching still going back and forth back and forth and not getting passed that point.
We have 361 of 465 gigs left free with the wallet open and stuck in synching.
Let me know if there is any more information you require to solve this synching problem.
Keep in mind I am now at v 0100.2 version uploaded, and have already cleared the cache 4 X back to zero and started again with the Neuron wallet. Farthese I got in the synch was about 400K more than the present location in the synch.
Thanks for your help. I look forward to getting this synching issue resolved.

Hi @freespirit8614, Great thanks for your detailed log files & screenshots for us. It seems your CKB node data has been broken that may caused by the crash of your PC's BlueScreen which happend on 10/10/2021, though we are not sure how the BlueScreen was happened for now. So the broken CKB node data ( P.S. To speed up the sync process, I provided a full CKB node data which has been synced to block height of 5662203 ( can refer to https://talk.nervos.org/t/ckb-v0-100-0-updated-to-block-5662203-speed-up-your-ckb-node-neuron-wallet-syncing-with-compressed-block-data/6233 ), you can download the data zip file and uncompress it to your CKB node data folder. |
hi KellyShang, Thank you for looking into this. Before I screw anything up further let me just confirm: So when I type in %AppData%\Neuron\chains\mainnet\data as advised I see the following. See screenshot. So do I simplu delete EVERYTHING in that folder or just PART of it?

PK did the clear cache but not check fully rebuild. Nothing changed. Should I give it more time or restart wallet again? |
I will give this another 30-60 minutes t synch before giving up for tonight. And will wait to hear from you as to what to try next. Not giving up! Lol. |
hmm.. then could you have another try of double clearing cache( check the fully rebuild) which may take a long time to rebuild index. |

It has restarted from zero. So will let it run and see if we can get past that 5,134, 054 point. But from previous experience, yes, cache back to zero does indeed take a long time. So will let it run and if it sticks again I will let you know. I have a friend who is a huge investor in CKB and I contacted him to see if he had had the same experience as me. He said he had zero problems synching from v 0.035.0 to the v 0.100.0, 1, 2 versions respectively. I told him I was still working with you to try to figure this all out. He recommended if we failed to figure it out I go on to other Nervos wallets (see nervos.org ecosystem page) OK so if this does not work out re synching again form zero for the fifth time with you ( including the other 4 times I did this before I came over to github to get help), would you recommend a different wallet also? Just curious. |

OK will do. Right now it is 1,036,715/3,918,623 so continuing to progress without seeing a blue screen crash. Will see how it goes overnight and give you an update when I get up. If I see another blue screen, will export the debug report again to you. Not sure what time zone you are in but my ETA to return to the computer is in 8 hours. Thanks for sticking with me through this wallet restore, CKB fix and synch process. Much appreciated. |

Also, just another note, NONE of my CKB in the NERVOS DAO, and thus also no staking rewards either, have shown up yet in the block synch at 3425330/3428571. Please let me know how you would like to proceed now after resynching back to zero, and now 4 computer crashes, happening faster and faster. Also note in case a new tech support person looks at this, Nowhere near the file sent me to download after we determined that my CKB node was apparently broken and it was supposed to get me to 5662203 right away. Still a long way from that in my synch. Lol. Now what? |
Maybe there is something wrong with your computer. You can have a try to google a solution for the BlueScreen IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error of your PC. For example: |

Kelly Shang Here is a new idea. I checked out the resources you sent, and thank you for those. Turns out they will not support Windows 7 which I have as a reliable operating system. And I hear terrible things about Windows 10 so I do not want to upgrade to that. but you may be right there is a problem on my current computer. My NEW IDEA is since the computer that may be having problems is a dedicated crypto computer, could you please walk me through how I might go to my OTHER windows computer and import everything I need to reboot the neuron wallet and then insert the CKB zip file you sent me that auto synchs starting at 5662203? I am assuming I can get this far on my own:
Please confirm the above or make any other suggestions and I will get right on this and hopefully this will sort it. So I think we are getting closer now to isolating where this issue I am having is coming from after trying everything else we can think of and every other route you know to synch it! WOW. Now LOL, this exchange could become the world record holder for LONGEST support thread on CKB Neuron issues?! Lol. Hopefully it might help someone else along the way down the line. As I said, one of my friends who is a huge believer in and investor in CKB had absolutely zero problems with his synch?! NEW ISSUE: Have now tried to install the new version 0.100.2 NEURON Wallet for Windows from the GitHub for the NEURON WALLET on an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT COMPUTER and v 0.100.2 won't even open. I get the error message below. Can you explain this error message? I obviously cannot even proceed to try a different computer if I cannot get the new version of the NEURON wallet to even load from github. Thanks KellyShang. The only thing I can think of is this is also Windows 7 and perhaps the NERUON wallet doesn't even properly load for the Windows 7 operating system? Can you confirm this? If this is so, how do I proceed. I don't have any other computer. I cannot afford to buy a new one at this time. |

I had not realized you sent one specific to Windows 7 operating system. My bad. I am running the sfc scan now and will write again after I have gone through all the prompts, done what is asked for any and all error messages, and then see if NEURON wallet will synch using your download zip file you sent earlier in this process. THis still does not explain why the NEURON wallet would not even download on a DIFFERENT WINDOWS computer running Windows 7. Can you figure that one out? I won;t give up. |
Your wallet in the Neuron can be backup as an keystore file which can be imported to the other computer's Neuron. Your CKB in the wallet won't be lost as it's on the chain, which you can check the address or transaction from the explorer https://explorer.nervos.org/ . BTW, the new Win OS computer should be 64 bit, then you need to make sure you have installed the |
Hi again Kelly Shang I followed all windows 7 repair instructions on the repair areas possibly causing the problems as instructed from your link. (on original windows computer.) In addition, I ran a defragmentation and restarted the computer.This took several hours. I restarted the current Neuron Wallet which appear to have linked to your repaired CKB node you sent me a few days ago as it was the latest install and wallet booted u., The wallet we started the cache from 0 then showed a block synch about 26,000 blocks farther on from where I left off before the last crash blue screen. Synch currently running and is at 3511006/3543838. I will let it run now and see how far it gets before it stalls, crashes or finally gets to the end of the syhch with all my CKB showing in the NERVOS DAO. Currently no CKB deposits for staking currently showing APC 3.16 % showing there. I will let this run for the night and will write again in the morning with another report. In addition, in the morning I will try the other windows computer and try to install the NEURON wallet there as per your other instructions outlined above in your last message. Thanks for the reassurance on my CKB, where they are on the blockchain recorded somewhere out there in cryptoworld. So now we cross our fingers and hope that this computer repair you suggested worked and the wallet will synch fine now. I will let you know tomorrow how it went overnight. Thanks for your help. Well bad news. NOTE And this his solved the wallet install on computer #2! Hooray! Progress. I have just now installed it on computer #1 and restarted the NEURON wallet again. Perhaps this will help in some way as you said without it the wallet won;t load properly? I will let synch on computer #1 run for awhile and get back to you later with a progress update. Perhaps this is at the root of the blue screen crash issues? We shall see. |

KellyShang Well you will be happy to know that after all these many days and all our support conversations back and forth and all your amazing help, the computer #2 FINALLY JUST SYNCHED UP!!!!! Just so you know, after trying every single Windows 7 tutorial and going through all the links you sent to me, and some I found on my own to try to synch this NEURON wallet on Computer #1, I finally gave up on that computer. However, following your instructions to the letter, I was able to upload the NEURON wallet on Computer #2, get my CKB wallet imported, up and synching from 0, and just a moment ago, IT WORKED! I AM SYNCHED! All tokens and staking rewards in the DAO wallet are accounted for and appear in the wallet. And I AM PSYCHED! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP! NEW QUESTIONS:
Back in Mary 2021 when I made my first three tranche purchases of CKB, I left 61 CKB in my available part of the wallet for an eventual claim of future DAO wallet holdings as the wallet instructed. Out of curiosity since the wallet finally synched, I just tried to claim my CKB staking rewards and it said I "needed at least 61 CKB to proceed". I was blocked from claiming my rewards, even thought I did have 61 CKB in the available tokens.

This prompts me to ask only one (shocking I know right?!) additional question about the wallet. OK two questions. Lol. Question 1: My question is at the rate of roughly that amount of mining of CKB going on per day, what would you recommend for a long term holder of CKB as far as how often to synch their wallet? Once Per day? Per week? Per month? Question 2: In other projects I am invested in, in tokens such as held currently in a staking pool, I need to decide on my options to either "claim" OR "claim and restake" OR "withdraw." My staking token doesn't actually go into my wallet with those projects until I actually "Claim and restake it" as my reward of additional tokens OR in staking rewards such as ETH, or wBTC, etc. It would appear that the beauty of the DAO wallet, is that these 3% rewards model split between miners and "locked" tokens that the "rewards" for locking your CKB tokens are AUTOMATICALLY placed in the NERVOS DAO wallet and I don't need to do anything further until such time that I would sell a portion or all of my CKB tokens which for a long term hold investor is not wise as I really believe in CKB long term. (and even MORE SO since your help and support which gives me great confidence in this CKB investment I have made!) Do I understand this correctly? Just making sure before I close this conversation with you. THanks. |
Q1: the answer is anytime. Every time you start the Neuron, it will automatically try to sync to the latest block height of the chain. Q2: Seems not that accurate. But I will ask somebody who is more professional in this area to help answer this question. :) |
Hi KellyShang Thank you for clarification on my Q1. Q3: And my final question. After working with you and having such trouble with Windows on my computer, I am thinking of switching to the LINUX system. Does Neuron Wallet run the exact same and have fewer problems on that operating system? Is the wallet import procedure exactly the same as it was when I moved my wallet from one Windows computer to another Windows computer? I am unclear how these wallets transfer from one operating system to another if you choose to move from say Windows to IOS or to LINUX. Do you find that overall, you do LESS Customer Support for people who use the LINUX operating system than those using Windows? Just curious before I make the switch. THANK YOU and KUDOS TO YOU BTW, I have sung your praises KellyShang, to my friend (note: a very large and very early CKB investor) and he said he was very pleased to hear that the CKB Customer Service was EXCELLENT. He was amazed and very impressed that you spent seven days straight helping me sort out my support ticket, all the different support approaches you took to solve the new issues as they came up, and that you never gave up on me or got snarky with me at all along the way. In my experience in other projects, support can sometimes get impatient when you are a newbie. But my friend confirmed this had also happened to him, a seasoned crypto investor since 2010, and he was pleased that you KellyShang, were not only able to handle a seasoned person, but also have the patience to deal well with an inexperienced investor as well. He respected your ability in this area of support. Anyway, your Customer Support treatment of me gave him much more confidence in the CKB project as a whole. He also said how great that was for him to know that Customer Support at CKB had people like you there for all of his friends and clients he is referring to CKB. So you have all by yourself, as a great Customer Service person, created more loyalty from both him and I in the CKB project. He said, in addition to the great project itself, that you gave him great hope for CKB's future. So I thought I would pass that kudos on to you. And hopefully your supervisors will see both my compliment and his of the way you have handled this support ticket from start to finish. |
Q3: all the operation procedure of Neuron are the same on different OS including Win/macOS/Linux. You can export wallet as an keystore json file from Neuron on one PC and import it to the Neuron on the other PC. Actually the sync rate on Linux is faster than Win. BTW, the data file on linux is under this folder: Thank you very much for your praise of me, I'm flattered :) Actually the support work was supported by all of our team, including Neuron team, CKB team and the marketing, who were working behind. |
Actually for the design and UX, I believe that NervosDao has lots of space to be improved. |
Thank you for this analysis. Very thought provoking. BTW, my wallet now is syncing beautifully on the other windows computer now. Just to be sure before I got back to you with a report, I now have tried syncing it over several different days, including today, and always syncs just fine. What a relief! I agree with you that the overall CKB staking experience can be improved. A automatic compound model is a great idea! And yes juicy for a long term holder like me! In other staking experiences, they make it so hard to understand how to actually get back and claim your tokens once the staking period is completed, that it has been very frustrating for me personally. I will look into OHM and sOHM and also Tokemak and Curve as you suggest for more clarity on what is currently going on in the staking models of the paradigms you think are great for the token economy of the future. These references are great for my own individual education. Thanks for that. Really appreciate it. Always more to learn for ALL of us wherever we are in this new blockchain ecosystem universe right?! Are there any other things you think from your perspective that I should consider before we close this support ticket? I don't want to be taking up your time when you could be helping other people. |

Describe the bug (Please enter details, the more detail the better)
I don't know what is going on over there as far as moving from v 035 to 100 and 100.1. (have been unable to do update 100.2 so far)
I have been trying to complete this update for over 6 days now.
I have cleared cache three times. Furthest I have been able to get ever in the synch is 5, 402,093.
Currently it is stuck going between 5,134,053 and 5,134,054, Back and forth, Back and forth between 053 and 054 for over an hour and a half now. VERY frustrating.
Currently it is showing 5,134,054/5, 516,293. Right side of slash mark keeps going up and left side of hash stays stuck bouncing betwee 5,134,053 and 5,134,054
As others have commented
Synch of blocks on right side of the synching always goes so fast in relation to actual wallet blocks synching and then percentage keeps dropping until I have to restart the app for the wallet and start over.

CLOCK INTERRUPT
DRIVER NOT LESS BUT EQUAL TO
The current Neuron synch upload is my very WORST EVER wallet experience ever. It has been the longest, most tedious, most unsuccessful, tiring, frustrating, wallet of any of the 20 different investments I have made in the future of blockchain technology.
And if you over at NERVOS intend to be the leader in the Next Generation Blockchain, and I have heard GREAT THINGS ABOUT YOU, YOUR TECHNOLOGY, YOUR FUTURE in the Next GEneration Blockchain space. this wallet SERIOUSLY has to get fixed. The other end user experience so far is AWFUL.
Hope you can get it fixed soon before people like me, early investors who really WANT to believe in you and stick with you long term, don't get so frustrated that they cash up and leave you for other opportunities in this space.
And it is 2 hours now and the synch is still stucl moving between 5, 134,054/5,582,293 and 5,134,053/ 5,584, 293.....After six days of this, rebooting your app every 5-15 minutes, with no success or completion, I have about had it....
