What is the purpose of this pull request?

Allow to use patterns like fixtures//* for consistency with alternative solutions.

Addressed to #330.

What changes did you make? (Give an overview)

In this PR, we introduce a new pattern manager designed to clean up patterns. Right now we just remove duplicated slashes from patterns.
