@pocmo is writing a crash reporter component in #3074, but it probably won't be ready for Focus 7.0. Our backup plan is to ship Focus 7.0 with:

  • GeckoView crash reporting disabled (because GeckoView minidumps do include PII)
  • but Sentry crash reporting still enabled (by default, like Focus 6.x already does, because Sentry crash reports don't include PII).

But we would like to keep submitting GeckoView crash reports from Focus pre-release builds (Beta and Nightly), just not in Focus prod releases.
