We do this on main, this was changed on this branch, so this is reverting that change. Thread in slack:

This is because of a bug in the data-service:
https://github.com/mongodb-js/compass/blob/main/packages/data-service/src/data-service.ts#L1346
This errors on free tier and serverless and the error is caught and swallowed 🫠
