To reviewers, the change to the two resources scripts (resource.h and vswhere.lib.rc) are merely the removal of the IDS_E_VERSION string symbol. GitHub treats UTF-16LE encoded files as binary. They may not diff correctly, but you can still click "View" to open the files directly.
