Since switching to free version of copilot it only worked on the first day I think, since then I see “Completions limit reached” warning all the time, without copilot doing any completions that I can see.

We indicate when completions limit is hit and the warning will be shown until the limits reset (monthly after the sign-up date), or you purchased a Copilot Pro license.

Am I missing something, can you clarify?

Ok then I suggest you check tomorrow if that has happened.

Hi, I'm having the same problem. The warning doesn't reset for more than a week and always shows it would reset on the next day.

@putianyi889 @zRko29 when you click on the quota indication in the status bar (there should be a 🤖 icon) a dialog should open with the indication about when the quota should reset. can you share a screenshot of that dialog to see what date is printed?

@putianyi889 are you certain you are logged in with the user putianyi889 in VS Code? Can you sign-out and sign-in again to see if it reproduces?

Hi!
I have the same problem. First, the message said the limit would reset on January 13, then when I opened VS code on January 13 it changed to January 17 and this morning the message says it will reset on February 17, 2025. I was not able to use copilot since January 13. I tried to sign out and sign in again after reading this issue this morning, but the warning is still there.

I created a new meta issue for this type of bug: microsoft/vscode-copilot-release#4206

I got word that a fix was release, so please try again today and report back in microsoft/vscode-copilot-release#4206 if you still encounter this issue.

Thanks for trying Copilot!
