Version Upgrade from PnP Modern Search – Search web Parts – v4 4.7.0.0 to PnP Modern Search – Search web Parts – v4 4.14.0

In our SharePoint Tenant we have PnP Modern Search – Search web Parts – v4 4.7.0.0 installed.
We want to upgrade to new version PnP Modern Search – Search web Parts – v4 4.14.0.0 just to be up to date with the new version.

1. Are there any challenges faced during upgrade?
2. Do I need to reconfigure the webpart page after upgrade?
3. Is it really required to upgrade?
4. Any steps to keep in mind while upgrade.

In general, we very much try to avoid changing any defaults, so I would assume that an upgrade shouldn't cause any issues. However, we only test updating from the previous version when testing a new version.
I would recommend updating to a new version at least twice a year in order to avoid a situation like this, and onboarding the new features that might benefit your users, see the change log at https://github.com/microsoft-search/pnp-modern-search/releases for details.
Likewise, you WILL have to be on current version if you have any issues or questions and you wish for us to assist.

Be advised that you can always revert to the older version, if you encounter an issue with the current version.
