Minimum RAM for running LMIC #758
-
Recently I am planning on developing very cheap LoRaWAN sensors that will measure temperature and humidity. I have been using ESP32 for some time with is 32bit with many RAM. I have experience in some AVR MUC so I am planning on using it, which only have 4KB of ram. Before starting the design, I would like to see if any user here has used a combination similar to this, and is having 4KB or even 2KB ram enough? |

We have many users using on AVR. 4k is the minimum recommended RAM, I don't things will work easily with 2k. It somewhat depends on the region. However, with a little tweaking of buffer sizes, you might be able to fit. We build for CI against a 32u4; we've never run out of RAM, but we've run out of code space (for the compliance sketch). Others will have more practical experience to share, I'm sure! |
