Poll Creation

Creation

Complete once for each poll.

• Sync the Community GitHub repository
• Ensure you are working from the latest master branch
• Read the associated 'Proposal' or 'Request For Poll' post in full
• Identify the best template
• Copy the template file
• Update filename
• Update dates
• Update titles
• Find and replace instances of parameterized values marked with '$'
• Ensure the poll contains a clear and concise explanation of what is being voted.
• Ensure poll summary accurately reflects poll content
• Update the outcomes section to accurately reflect the outcomes of the poll.
• Ensure that parties implicated in vote outcomes are aware of the poll outcome text.
• Add links to appropriate documentation where necessary
• Read the poll text in full with the above points in mind

Self-Review

Complete once for each poll, once all polls are created.

• Does the filename have the .md extension?
• Does the filename contain banned characters? <>:"/?*|
• Do titles contain banned characters? <>:"/?*
• Are the poll options too long? (Less than 30 characters as a rough guide)
• Do the options have distinct numbers in the preamble?
• Are the start and end dates present and correct?
• Does the vote type match desired vote type for the poll?
• Is the default option correct in metadata?
• Is the preamble ready for submission?
• Is vote descriptor present + match vote type?
• Are the 'Review', 'Outcomes', and 'Resources' sections present?
• Will the Data/parameters present in the poll be accurate at the time the poll is live?
• Are the dates correct within the text?
• Are all the relevant links provided?
• Are all the links working?
• Are the outcomes clear and comprehensive?
• Do any '$' parameter signifiers remain?
• Does the poll summary accurately reflect the poll content?
• Inform the reviewer that the poll is ready to review

Complete once for each poll.

• Read the poll text in full with the above points in mind
• Run through Grammarly free (make edits if necessary)
• Create PR to push changes to the main branch repo.
