Revised the maintenance instructions to account for a user being logged into the front-end of their MIAB instance and forcing an error during the update.

I don't think having a browser window open will cause that problem, but loading/refreshing the status checks page could. You might also get unlucky and start the upgrade command while the system is updating package information or applying security fixes in the background.

This particular problem occurred exactly as you describe - I had the status page open at the time of running the update on the server. I haven't tried to replicate it since I don't have a test harness to develop against.

I'm not sure the diagnosis is exactly right, but the suggestion is probably good anyway, so I'm merging now. Thanks! Apologies for the delay. Last year was very busy for me and I lost track of things.
