These code changes provide a better simulation of the carbon cycle in the Arctic-Boreal Zone (ABZ).
The changes in the code address biases that arise from using largely temperate schemes in the ABZ. These changes can be classified as: (1) phenology onset, (2) phenology offset, (3) daylight scaling, (4) Leuning temperature scaling, (5) initial spring value of Jmax/Vcmax, (6) dynamic stem-to-leaf carbon allocation, (7) realist root-to-leaf carbon allocation.
