It seems zerossl fixed their acme cert revocation and it now works if revoked with just defining the cert and the private key. No EAB necessary.
Tested locally with ZeroSSL and the cert is shown in their dashboard as revoked as well as on crt.sh
Also tested Let's Encrypt to make sure the addition of private key to the revoke arguments didn't break it.
